Children's Privacy Policy

Udayaa is a platform for students, and many of the students who run campaigns on Udayaa are under 18. This policy explains how we handle their information. It forms part of our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions.

1. Who can use Udayaa: Udayaa is for students aged 13 and above. If you are under 18, you confirm when you sign up that a parent or guardian has allowed you to use Udayaa.

2. What we collect from students: We collect only what we need to run a campaign: your name, email address, role, city, pin code and country, and the campaign content and photos you choose to publish. A phone number is optional.

3. Students' contact details are never shared: We never share a student's email address or phone number with donors, partners or anyone else, unless the student asks us to or allows it. Donors see your name and your campaign page, not your contact details.

4. No advertising: We do not use students' information for advertising, and we do not sell it. Emails we send to students are about their account and their campaign only.

5. Donor details shown to students: When someone donates to your campaign, you can see their name, email address and phone number so that you can thank them personally, unless the donor chose to donate anonymously. These details may only be used to thank donors and share updates about your campaign. They must not be shared with anyone else or used for any other purpose.

6. Photos and stories: Campaigns must not include the full name, school or home location of any child who benefits from the campaign without written permission from that child's parent or guardian.

7. Parents and guardians: A parent or guardian can ask us to see, correct or delete a student's information at any time through our Contact Us page or by writing to info@udayaa.org.

8. Questions or concerns: Our grievance contact is Sonali, who can be reached through the Contact Us page or at info@udayaa.org.
