How we’ll use this fund
Provide healthcare for 250–300 patients this month: Support daily outpatient care for women, children, and elderly patients in a remote tribal region. Fund medicines and diagnostics: Cover essential tests, nutrition supplements, and free medicines. Support frontline healthcare workers: Ensure continued honorariums for the ANM and lab technician running the unit. Prevent avoidable illness and loss of life: Back early diagnosis, timely referrals, and consistent care where access is limited.

Campaign Story

We are the Social Justice Club at the International School of Hyderabad, and through this campaign we are supporting Samaritans for the Nation, a grassroots organization providing critical healthcare in some of the most remote tribal regions along the Chhattisgarh–Telangana border.

In Pusuguppa, access to healthcare is extremely limited. There are no nearby hospitals, no private clinics, and no diagnostic facilities. For hundreds of tribal families, the Pusuguppa Medical Unit run by Samaritans for the Nation is the only dependable source of medical care.

Every month, this unit serves 250–300 patients, including pregnant and lactating women, children, elderly individuals, and patients suffering from malnutrition, infections, and chronic illness. Without this facility, families are forced to travel long distances through forest terrain, often delaying or missing treatment altogether.

This campaign exists to ensure that this medical unit can continue operating without interruption.

The Problem

In remote tribal habitations like Pusuguppa, preventable health conditions quickly become life-threatening due to lack of access.

  • No nearby hospitals or diagnostic centers

  • High maternal and child health risks

  • Delayed treatment caused by distance and cost

When consistent healthcare is unavailable, even short gaps can have serious consequences.

Our Solution

The Pusuguppa Medical Unit provides regular, on-the-ground primary healthcare, staffed by trained frontline workers who are trusted by the community.

Services include:

  • Outpatient consultations

  • Maternal and child healthcare

  • Basic diagnostics

  • Distribution of essential medicines and nutrition supplements

  • Emergency referrals when required

This unit helps families seek care earlier and more consistently.
